In 2010, Elena wrote her first song to accompany one of her art works. Her lyric writing has since proliferated. Her Arts Council supported Nine Women project saw a collection of songs published to complete an art installation that was seen across the UK, in the USA and Sweden. She has since been seduced by the joys of collaborative songwriting, and is now astonished to find herself singing in a band. Elena’s lyrics capture the delicate nature of the human condition.
Her latest project Drawing Songs is also funded by Arts Council England and comprises soundscapes and songs accompanying large scale, immersive drawings.
